Not exactly in the area, but closer than I am... Try Silver Lake down south a little more.

Okay, here's the deal. Normally, I would'nt give such top secret info, but ever since I got into steelheading, I've forgotten about Bass completely. I was born and raised on a lake called Ward Lake. There's a public launch off of 42nd st. which is off of boulevard road. THe majority of the fishing in that lake centers around trout and kokanee, I guess that's why the bass get SOOOOO big. Whenever I go to visit my parents I take the ol' float tube out and hit the lilly pads. One of the bass I've taken out of there still sits mounted in my den. 10 pounds 4 ounces. But if it's 1-2 pounders you're after, work a rapala in the lilly pads. You'll catch a fish every cast. July and August are the prime times. Like I said, you'll be the only guy out there. During that time there'll be a few boats anchored up toward the middle of the lake targeting kokanee. Well, there it is my friend. Take this information and catch yourself some bass.

Chambers lake off of Fones road near Home Depot.

Isabella lake in Shelton. It is near Verles Sports center.

Two good spots to start with.
