I'm looking to pick up a nice baitcaster for steelhead fishing. I'm thinking about a Pfleuger Supreme, Shimano Curado Super Free, Shimano Chronarch, Abu Revo or similar. Needs to be left hand crank and in good working condition. Will pay a fair price or trade for other fishing gear. Tight lines!

I have a Shimano Curado 201 BSF, lefty with Super Free spool in excellent condition.

Buy one of the Daiwa Viento's that are on clearance via the internet. You probably won't find a better reel for under a $100.

Don't know much about them, but the Viento has a "twitchin' bar" that looks to me like it would be in the way....

Are you going to float fish with the reel you are looking to buy? If so, the twitching bar is a good thing. If not, I don't think it would be an issue anyway but I understand not wanting bells and whistles that you have no use for anyway. I'll just say it is a smooth-casting reel with a strong drag that has held up and performed better than my Curados.
