slow going...

"There is little to report for the week.

Smelt were in the Cowlitz at the start of the week but high water reduced fishing effort by Tuesday. Commercial fishers landed fish Sunday night and sport dippers were doing OK from Rocky Point upstream to Lexington prior to the heavy rains. Some smelt were still being dipped on Tuesday.

No reports of fish from the Lewis or Sandy rivers.

Large numbers of birds are still working the mainstem Columbia River, both above and below the Cowlitz.

All tributary waters are open 7-days per week, 6am - 10pm through March 31st. There is a 20 lb daily limit in effect."
