i too can be lumped into this 1st wife list. i was traded out for 400 pound sweaty truck driver. this is also the same wife who shived me in the shower with a pair of sharp hair shears. surprising how much blood comes out of someone with a gash inflected by a pissed off wife! i learned alot from that shower incident.

2nd wife has been the very best find. not only is trustworthy and understands the term commitment and "till dealth do us part". she game me to very awesome sons. for this i am in debted to her.... plus she seems to except and understand that i'm a jerk and a a-hole!

I'll be the first guy in line to smack some senses in to you if and when that happens.

I date nice girls... Until they get all upset that I spend 12 months of the year on the water, and 4-8 of those are up north. At least 6 out of the last 10 years anyways. Funny thing about all that tho... The first thing I inform them of is the lifestyle. And lots of reminders when this get more involved...They all wanna play ball until they get emotionally bean'd.

But for now, the lady who calls me "hers" understands the lifestyle, and is 100% alright with it. Lucky? I dunno, maybe. I love her to death, but would absolutely understand if it didn't work out for her to keep me around. It's tuff not seeing loved ones but a few times during the summer and fall. And I'm greatful for everything she's provided for me. And she seems appreciative of what I provide for her, in return for endless tolerance.

Prolly wont ever make it official, but I scored pretty poorly on the divorce calc! Schit! Hahaha!

Was a good review of a 2+ year old thread.......I fish "lot's longer now" but coming home to a empty house is no fun. I'm sure there is a replacement for my wife but that has not been a high prioty in my life.....

Made me "tear" this morning.......her favorite chair is still empty....

Neither of mine were caused by..but the first when age 18, when I fished every waking moment I could find.. probably didn't help anything..

Balance in everything.. a lesson learned as we mature... not being uterly selfish and little consideration of others needs before mine, then I may have still be married to #1..

Life has never been so good

Two and half years ago in this thread I said I would never get married again (after 4 divorces). Still single, haven't even dated in last 18 months. My kids put me on a dating website, tried it, but meeting women who are either 20 years older or 20 pounds heavier than their picture got old.
Those of you that are happily married....be thankful.

when this came out I would've said unhappily married... now though, happily single, and will never go thru that again.

I lost most of my retirement, but have two wonderful boys and a house on the water that we enjoy the [Bleeeeep!] out of... I went from debt free and owning everything in my 20's, to eyeballs in debt I didn't know about in my 40's...

I'm back to debt free, supporting two households and still able to put money in the bank... I still cant figure that one out

Vegas called me up yesterday and they were also not too pleased.

Been with her for 17 years now and will be married 13 years in September.............Don't see it ending anytime soon. I get to do what I want 90% of the time......she does what she wants 100% of the time.The kids are getting older 16 & 22 with a 9 month old grandaughter......all is well.It's my first marriage and her second......Let's just say they try a lot harder on there second......If there was ever a divorce between us it would be my one and only as I would not ever get remarried.............................Live in girlfriend yes,marriage no.Good luck,

At 37, maybe I'll get married one day....maybe not. I've had plenty of chances before, but I've always been able to see the long term writing on the wall well in advance to hitting said wall. It's a Seinfeld type gift that keeps my wallet full and sanity held firmly in place. Plus the last one had "man hands" and those extra long middle toes that stick out past the big toes. That's a no-go....
