Thinking of hitting this one soon. It's been a while since I've been out to the weyerhauser property. I'm iterested to see if anything has changed yet since the big news of the sale...

Anyone reports? It's year round right? Guess I'll go check the regs... Now that I live in NB, I'll be a 'local' in the areas lakes and rivers. I already know the snoqualmie river very well (upper for trout - I prefer the middle fork) and lower for steelies. If you need a report, try pinging me!

I was headed to Mcleod yesterday for the terrific chirinomid hatch that I was sure was going on, only to find a ripped seam and a flat float tube. No innertube stores open at 6am on a Sunday morning! And can't make it next weekend..oh well.

Was it a Caddis tube? I had the same thing happen just after I launched at Lenice. NOT HAPPY. A long drive that was spoiled by a faulty tube. Add some 200 MPH duct tape to your fishing box for just such an emergency. Talked to one guy that had a full tube blowout on Nunnally, on a windy day, said he was lucky to make it back to shore.

Any sign of the chronie hatch?

No, I had just gotten a new tube (Muddler by Trout Traps) last year that had one of those cheap, lightweight polyurethane bladders in it. Those things are dangerous! If you get a hole in one, they deflate immediately. Lucky I wasn't sittin' in the middle of the lake. I've since bought a truck tire innertube to stick inside instead. As far as the chronny hatch, never made it to the lake, so I'm not sure. This cold weather may have put 'em down again.
