Yeah I know is seems crazy but Tye has not ben an eager swimmer. That is until Seastrike brought him a duck. Now he is wild about retrieving the duck or the pidgeon Land Cruiser brought him. I guess he just needed some incentive.

Sorry this is sideways. I can't figure out how to rotate it.

Go to photobucket, click edit, rotate 90 degrees right, save replace original image. It will fix it and replace it.

Cedar spent the day swimming in the ditch, retrieving his orange "bird" (throw toy), and a very large turnip.

Shout out to KD AP. He gave me Boris' outgrown vest. I've had my last dog destroy 4 vests over the years. It's not going to happen with this Avery vest. What a sweet piece of workmanship and what a cool thing to do to give it to me.
Thanks Aaron.
ps if I get off my ass and see you on the OP this winter or spring I hope to bring you some nice leader rolls filled with goodness.
Chase wore it this morning while duck hunting in the salt and it was very nice.
He's a skinny [censored] and mostly an indoor dog so this will serve him well in the marshes and drifter.
beer
pps Thanks Keith for the delivery!

Side note.....so my 11 year old and I are hunting a point this morning up around Padilla Bay. An eagle flys about 10 yards over us nice and slow (when they've never been shot at they do that like Swans or other protected animals).
The action was slow.
The boy says "wouldn't it be cool if you could shoot those? It would be so easy."
I've been working on my talk with him since then. I've got it about ready.
We are cleaning guns tonight and will have the talk then.
Like dads who don't have the sex talk I have apparently been remiss about some conservation issues. I thought I was on that [censored].
I realized I've never told him about us almost wiping out the eagles and how we got them back. Education on it's way.

Seastrike,

If that's the same Avery vest Tye had I wasn't all that impressed with the durability. Tye only wore it three times and it had several tears in it. Blackberries are especially tough on them.

It did look and fit nice and I think I will get him another when he quits growing.

P.S. Next year I wanna whore a seat in your blind. I don't need to be a shooter. I just wanna see what Tye does when he realizes those things flying over are the same yummy things he loves to retreive.

Well we will find out. Neoprene is not as tough as a lab I know this. Most of Cosmo's blowouts were with barb wire but this one looks tough.
Chase is not the Cosmo yet. Not even close. Cosmo was a freaking cannon and deserves her rockstar status.
Chase on the other hand is way more gentle and rides fine in vehicles and boats. Cosmo not so much.
You and the new motor boat are welcome to hunt with us anytime Dave.
I will be doing some live bird work (pigeons) with Chase this spring and I'll give you a call on that as well.
I plan on shooting them over water.
