I just read about a guide named Mike Kelly of Fish Reaper Guide Service, and they said he's catching over 20 steelhead a day on the Clearwater. I'm looking into booking a trip.... I'll post a full report if it works out!

btw... I read about this on a site that I just got banned from this morning! LOL! They terminated my membership because I mentioned the FIRST NAME ONLY of a guide who does not sponsor their site. While at the same time, they have an entire thread about Mike Kelly, who is also not one of their sponsors.... LMAO!!!

Get over there right now if you can. The fish usually don't show up in the SF for another month, when they are mostly tired, staging, pre-spawners. The recent high water apparently caused an unusually high number of relatively fresh active fish to show up early, and fishing has been very good. Say hi to your newest 1,000 close friends. The word's out.

I was banned for life from that womans site many years ago even though I donated a few rods and tons of tackle to her little bitchy ass whiny site. Then she had the nerve to ask for more stuff after I was banned, go figure.

I met Mike Kelly while waiting for road construction near Hellers bar a couple years ago. Hes a very nice guy and seemed to know his trade. He had a full size chest freezer in his 25' sled just for bait!

She does not like me very much either...............

They don't call it "Cryfish" for nothin,just sayin.Have fun with Kelly he's one of the best no matter what body of water you are on.Good luck,

My ban came when a member said she was a fishing legend. All I did was ask him if he wanted a tissue to wipe the brown off his nose.

Over 800 views on other site and this site combined about awesome steelhead fishing. God only knows how many people will tell, see or hear about this. Even if it was the Cowlitz I will never understand the motive behind publicizing areas that are fishing well. Thank Christ I don't fish there. And for all those that say "it's no secret", I didn't know they were catching 20 steelies a day until now.

Hell, most of the upper C is still putting out great numbers and we fished over there with a whopping 4 other boats all of last weekend. Not just anyone wants to make that trip and fish in the snow.....

I fish the clearwater quite a bit spending part of my time in Kamiah. I leave a drift boat there just for a few days a year. Sure a guy can catch multiple steel in a day, but most are smokable at best. And the unmarked fish aren't really unmarked fish. It's just a christmas-tree float show but fun I guess. A guy is better served to fish the OP any day of the week.
