I got a small boat and some downriggers. Am going to set up with 300' of cable and go for some large lake trout (I AM DREAMING!) aside from the Graybill booklet, anyone ever have any luck on that big lake???? I have had some luck with Kokanee and Rainbows, all of which are nice size, but am greedy and would like something "special" from that great lake. Share your secrets!

Reel Novice,
I have two articles posted in the Lake Chelan section on lake trout and fresh water ling fishing. Lots of good tips there. Also, feel free to contact Anton Jones of Darrell and Dad's Guide Service. He is very helpful and will gladly give you a few tips. Good luck, it's a great fishery and can be hot year round.

My 2 cents worth. Use big(4"-6") yellow spoons and some of Mike's walleye scent or smelly jelly.Trolled from 1-3mph. Coyote 4.0 in silver/green, Coho Killer in yellow splatterback, size 12-16 quick fish in perch or silver colors, 4oz megabait jig, buzzbomb, dodger and hoochie, double whammy walley rig with worm. They've all worked well. And as i hear it the lakers at Chelan follow the freshwater shrimp up to the surface at night and down to the bottom by mid day, everyday.
