Earlier i read a post about the lighted kwik fish and how popular it was and that you could only find them in certain stores. Well i found them at SportCo finally. I must have stared at it for 10 minutes before i bought it. I got it home and looked at it closely and made the light blink and thought...cheese...I could have designed that a little better...First off the light is an LED and it's red. Why red? Anyways i THOUGHT the whole thing would light up but only about the last half inch is affected by light. Wouldn't you think they would have moved it more toward the head to aluminate most of the body?

So my question is.. Has anyone used these yet? And have you had any success? Better than normal? I thought they would be great for Mackinaw and maybe Salmon. Did i just buy into a gimmick??? Anyone???

Just gotta do some field testing. Salmon season is just around the corner, sort of. I will admit I bought one (not a Kwikfish, some off brand name) last year. It was a white/glow one with a red LED. It was very poorly made. It stopped working after about a half an hour in the salt. frown I did notice that they are getting rave reviews on the "other board".

I gotta say that in the bass industry, most lures are designed to catch fishermen, not fish.

Sorry but it sounds like you have been had.
Go with what you know.
