I was wondering if there are any NAFC member's out there? If so what do you think of there club/ magazine? Seem's like it only cater's to Bass fisherman, every once in a while they throw us salmonoid fisherman a bone but not very often. Anybody have any thought's on this. ( there's nothing wrong with Bass fishing, I just didn't think the rest of us got a fair shake as far as article's or Northwest fishing in general. )

If this is the same one that is based in the Mid-West. I used to belong to it but got out for all of the same reasons. I also wrote and told them about the lack of cold water articles. It seems to me that this is a "Good Old Boys Club" that tried to get bigger. It just seemed that all of the articles were about Bass,Walleye,or Crappie fishing. No Trout or Steelhead.

Well that would be the same club. I recently asked on there forum how many salmonoid fisherman were out there, that felt the same way I did. I am receiving responses from member's in the northwest, greatlakes region and the northeast. Pretty interesting to here from other fisherman from around the country with the same fishing interest's that we share out here. It's pretty amazing that the tactic's are basically the same with maybe a few minor detail's that vary. But I think we can all learn from each other, you can never have to much knowledge.

Their magazine is a dead fish picture mag for spiny ray fishermen back east/midwest. The rest is advertising. The promises of free lures and outdoors gear to test never materialize. Suddenly, after you join ,you start getting unsolicited books and gear along with a payment invoice. I told them if they wanted the friggin spiny ray fishin book they sent me that I never ordered, they could pick it up at my address any Sunday....the rest of the days I'm gone fishing. Never heard from them again.

I used to be a member but for the same reasons as mentioned already I cancled my subscription after 2 years. Like most other magazines that are from the east coast or have a wide scale circulation it just didn't have the things I'm really fond of inside.

Unfortunatley I have 2 1/2 year's left on my subscription, I do receive a magazine I've grown quite fond of Fishing and Hunting Washington it cover's the Washington fishing scene pretty well, I've been quite happy with it, if you haven't already checked it out I'd recommend you give it a whirl.

We get NAFC and I read it about as much as all my other magazines. I mostly flip to the back and look at the member photos. Fishing and Hunting news is a good magazine though. Some of the stuff may not be true but I always like the information.

i've been a nafc member for about a year now but i probably won't renew since most of the species featured i rarely target(besides bass). i have received a few spools of line, some hooks, and a couple of crankbaits for free though..

I too had the same junk mail problems...with them and their counterpart NA Hunt Club...Mostly back east articles with a little midwest thrown in..
No offense to those folks, but when you live in the NW you want NW articles...
