He was responsible for writing most of AiC songs, but he rarely gets credit for it. He had a pretty sweet solo career as well.
I would agree and also add that Layne Staley was an unbelievable talent. His voice was unique and had incredible range. He also wrote all Mad Season songs which I sometimes prefer over Alice. Jeff Buckley was also rediculously talented I must add.
