Been on the fence about a GL IMX 1141S for some time. Seems like I'm either bankin' it or on the sticks too much to justify pulling the trigger on this lil' side driftin' sweetie.
Sure glad I held off though, cause as soon as Batson's announced their new Rainshadow XST1142F, the hook was set.

I had Adam Hansen custom make me up one "Ninja style", along with a sweet little 2 piece HS1021F plug rod . Very happy with the way they turned out and totally impressed with the initial feel of the 1142. Extremely light and responsive, with a skosh more oomph in the butt, just where I like it.

Since you won't find them at your local retailer, thought you might want to check these beautz out before I get scales and egg juice all over them. banana

Thanks again Adam. smile

I like the black on black. Any idea where he came by the grips? Are those Lami's stock synthetic grips (or Mudhole?). Cool,

Ok, I'm not much of a spinning reel aficionado, but as it turns out this little XST1142 rod really is new reel worthy.

So let's have some fun. Tell me what you'd strap on this deadly black mamba snake and why. I'll tell you what I bought. wink

Good call on the Stradic CI4.

Seemed like a good match. We'll see.

Let me know where you want me to send that bobber stop, Nor Cal. wink

The CI4 is a good looking reel. Extremely light compared to the Saros that I use for my float rod. That's a good looking sidedrifting setup there.
