If you are going for Tigers I think you will want to go Mayfield Lake.

those fish are harder to catch then the illusive green river steelhead :p try trolling or casting BIG spinners and plugs, anywhere from the surface to, i'm guessin' here, 12 to 15 ft. i've been told and read that you should troll or retrieve pretty fast because they are so agressive. my favorite way to get in pike and pickeral was to fish for pan fish for a couple of hours in the evening, pulling them in not to fast, sort of letting them stir up some comotion then switch over to big pike gear for the last couple of hours of light. it was great to attract the big preditors and get them interested in the area i was fishing, often i'd see the pike following my bluegill or perch in before i started fishing for them. that was some of the best fishing i had as a kid. good luck.

big inline bucktail spinners in black and chartues seem to be the In-Fishermans' favorite lures. Though these maybe hard to find. Husky jerks also work for them.

I'm really interested in where you heard that they are in lake tapps. I had no idea. Not that i doubt you it's just so close to me and would be a great opportunity for some big fish, if this is the case.

Please remember that those warm water info sheets are a few years old. The muskie plantings are fairly new.

Definitely Mayfield.

I was up there two nights last week sampling and we got two that were approx. 47" one being over 30 lbs. Our boat sampled seven the first night and one the second night. BEAUTIFUL fish. REALLY REALLY cool.

I have a handout that talks about how to fish for them if anyone wants it. It's not in electronic format - so email me your mailing address at kelsyslk@dfw.wa.gov and I will send it your way.
