I'm thinking of buying a Kahr P9 for conceal carry. Does anyone have any experience with Kahr handguns? I've always carried a snub nose Smith but wan't to switch to a double action semi on occasion.

I bought my wife a P9 for concealed carry and althought the gun is well constructed the trigger travel is VERY long, might take some getting used to to be able to hit where you want without pulling it down.

Sol Duc, for the money go with Glock. In the same ballpark figures as Kahr. Tried and true. Theres a reason our LE carry them, although I guess Tac PD is going to Kimbers. Go to galleryof guns.com and you can see alot of different models by Kahr, Glock and other manufacturers. Use gun genie and it will help you find reasonable prices within 100 miles of you if you want. Just saying. If you do go on gun genie, look at the differences in price between Outdoor Emp and sportco. They really slap the people in King County. Same company.

I have several Glocks, but I'm liking the .90 width of the slide. The Kahr also weighs in at 15.7 ounces which is alot less than any other Glock sub compacts.

I have a PM9, constant carry, never more than arms length away.
Very happy with it.
Thin, light, 6+1 cap.
I put a Hogue grip sleave on it for a little more purchase...carry with the 6-round mag that has the pinky extension.
Great piece.
I'll be shooting it at Renton this weekend.
