I was in the other Northwood this morning, looked like it gave your friend Barry a pretty good fight! Hope we weren't too much in your way this morning, I was trying to use the advice you gave in the topic "Elliot Bay opener". We are just beginners, so we wanted to make a few runs by the pilings to see if we could just get one bite. Seeing is believing.

Hey Carl,

Nice fish!
I too did well.
3 guys, 3 fish !
I had two an 8lb king and a 7 1/4lb
silver! My buddy Kevin hit a 13 lb king!
When I left at 1100 7o boats had left and
only 30 fish caught! So we could have done
worse. Oh yeah my boss came along,
he got a fresh skunk fish!

Hey Ben, that is cool to see you out there this morning. To bad I did not know it was you ahead of time. Now I know! cool I will be out there tomorrow too.

Stick close to those pilings. Did you see all of the bait fish all along the shipyard?

We went over to the fishing pier to clean the fish we had. There was a couple of guys cleaning part of a King. He said the other part of the King was taken by a sea lion when they were trying to boat the fish. laugh laugh

Kennyray, sounds like you had a good outing also. It is only going to get better too. I was surprised we got a fish this morning. The first weekend in August will be the best weekend for this fishery.

Na, don't hunt. Just like to work over a specific body of water till I figure out what puts fish in the boat. I don't like to follow generic fishing philosophies, most of which are found in local publications. :p

Ahemm....As Maury would put it, what about the Liars Gazzette??? I seem to remember a few lines you quoted from it. laugh laugh I use it too sometimes. It found me my new Mack lake as you know, and i am very greatfull for it. BUT i refuse to use exactally what they tell you to use just because i refuse to believe the fish will only bite what they suggest to use. I'm starting to think Barry is the seasoned Vet and you keep learning from him LOL laugh . He sure gets lucky alot. Especially on your steelheading trip. Nice fish guys. oh yeah, what did you get the king on?

Barry is a seasoned fishing vet. I have learned a ton from him. I think it may just be the way he holds his cup of coffee. laugh

We got the king on ol' reliable, glow Hot Spot with a white/glow hoochie charged up with a camera flash bulb and some herring stink trolled right on the surface (let out 20' of line) with an 8 oz banana weight.

We were tucked in real close to the pilings right along Todd, poles almost touching the pilings. There is a ton of bait fish there.

You gotta try this fishery out! Next weekend should be really good because there is a high tide in the morning.
