I like this holiday because of the ham and hard boiled eggs.

I don't get what zombies have to do with the natural cycle of spring though because all these fertility symbols sorta contradict the walking dead busting out of their graves.

Damn zombies don't deserve their own day! mad

In any case, I was a little late in celebrating Happy Zombie Day, In fact, I didn't get around to celebrating until now.

Here's how to celebrate Happy Zombie Day:

Grab your M1A and ponder how to make it a *better* zombie gun. She's looks nice, but she's missing something....

Ah yes! I got it! She *NEEDS* a Harris Bipod!

But how to do that?

The cheap way out is to plug the gas/vent/grenade launcher hole that sits above the upper sling mount. Not a big fan of that, as how can I possibly shoot my grenades if I plug that hole with a Harris BiPod stud? Hmmmm.

I know! Let's install our own stud! Flip over to the M1A to see what you have to work with.....

Place your Harris Bipod on the stock and find the *happy* place for the bipod to sit that still won't interfere with the existing fused sling mount. Mark your middle point and flip the gun back over. Use a chalk line to mark out the center of the gun and remark your hole. Use a 5/16 drill bit and drill a nice hole in that pristine M1A! Don't mess her up!

If you measured twice, and drilled once, the end result will look something like this:

Nice!

Now, install the Harris BiPod. Schwing! The retracted legs don't even interfere with the sling mount! Awesome!

Finally, open up the legs on the bipod and see how she fits!

I'm now set to take those nice looooong resting shots at the neighborhood zombies! laugh

That is how I celebrated Happy Zombie Day!

Or hang the M1A above the fireplace and grab your Mega Machine MA-Ten and decimate the zombie horde.

Just show that rig to them and they will run the other way grin

Made in Tumwater, WA......it's the water.

Funny chit right there ! grin

Mega does put out some awesome work. They also make a small frame (AR-15).
I'm working on a Aero Precision rig presently. Receivers are made in Tacoma, WA.

The hillbilly SECer's call us a bunch of tree huggers but we own the cool hardware, much to their chagrin grin
Bunch of mutt dirt shooters down there.

Parker, I am with you........M1A = Awesome

Direct Drive, The Mega is also very nice.

However for serious Zombie control.......

Same caliber...just a whole lot more of them.

My Browning 1919 Belt Fed 308......

And of course a person needs a reliable sidearm...

Fusion 10mm Longslide should do the trick...

Sorry for the re-post...I screwed the other one up.

Zombies are always a good subject for a conversation (and pictures) about firepower and toys. shoot

That one was custom ordered and built by Bob Serta of Fusion Arms.

He does excellent work.

Yes, very nice.

As I watch the hapless Blazers get pummeled by the Mavs.

The Blazers seem to have shaken off the un-dead.

Down by six with 2 1/2 to play.

Unbelievable finish. Blazers come back from a 23 point deficit.

Blazers 84 - Mavs 82
Series tied 2-2

^Love it!

You can't compare .308 and AK. Just not the same department.
Maybe the 7.62x54R and 7.62 NATO...But I'm a big fan of the 6.5 Swede myself.

You can however compare AK & AR like ford & chevy all day long.

Both have their suits. A-stan is showing the shortcomings of the poodleshooter M-4, the strengths of the M-14, and the versatility and legendary reliability of the Kalashnikov.

I'd happily load Andy up with beer so I could have an afternoon playing with his toys.

Gentlemen… Have a wonderful time getting the attention of, and drawing the zombie hoards towards your location with those loud weapons. In the mean time, I think that I will raid a couple of stores and then get the fxxx out of dodge; preferably, to a secure and secluded location far away from any sort of urban area. You might want to add a silencer to your arsenal.

You're in Grants Pass Redd? I have two brothers in the area, one in Jacksonville and one out in the Ruch Valley on the Applegate.

Every time I pass through Grants Pass I get the feeling it's not just the zombies that need to watch their asses once the sun goes down. Makes me wonder if my hair's too dark or maybe I'm too tan.

I never got the memo. I don't understand the whole shooting the zombies with exotic firepower and stuff. However I did have five deer in my yard this morning, convincing me that any garden this year will consist of potted plants on the porch and deck. Will fences that keep deer out of the garden also keep zombies out? And why am I asking that.
