Myself and three friends did our annual dry side trip. Lodging again was at the opulent Ala Cozy in Coulee City with Big Wally's providing the gas, food, alcohol, gas etc.

We hit CoffeePot on Friday. I've wanted to fish this lake for a long time. The two other times we tried we got blown off by strong winds. The fishing was excellent with many nice hard fighting bows in the 18" range and several pushing 20". I glad I finally got to fish it and plan to go back soon.

We fished Dry Falls Saturday and Sunday. Lots of fish, but the overall size is down considerably from the last few years.

We got fish on both lakes with buggers, leeches, waterboatmen, SJ worms, chironomids and dries.

Good times with great weather and friends.
A few pics from the weekend.

"Description: CP Bow"

stonefish,

By this, do you mean center pin bow? I am curious, because I have been contemplating this for awhile. If so, what set up is the man in the picture using?

Regards,

Andrew

I think "CP" stands for CoffeePot Lake.

Nice pics and trip, Stonefish. I stayed closer to home and bobbed around with about 20 other people and didn't see a fish caught on Saturday. Feels like spring though!

Looks like a lot of fun, with good company and some nice, quality bows.

Wetside wasn't too bad this weekend either in terms of quantity, but the quality of fish caught was somewhat less. I need to take a legitimate fishing trip to the Dryside one of these days. Maybe this summer....

I think my enthusiasm got the best of me. Nonetheless, I am also due for "a legitimate fishing trip to the Dryside” in the near future.
