Well with the deadline reached for submitting special permits the waiting game begins!

That being said, why does it take them so long to complete the drawing? You would think that in todays age of computers it would be as simple as pushing a button on May 19th and the drawing would happen? One day to verify the results and the results should be posted on May 21st? Sounds good to me. Guess I'll have to wait with everyone else.

That would be a great question for the game dept.! I doubt they could come up with an answer, though.

I decided not to apply this year. Just got tired of the changes to the systems that quite honestly are nothing but a money grab by a department that rarely has the ability to manage its way out of a paper bag, much less manage the wildlife in this state.

Best of luck. I'll be hunting my old tried and true methods.

Good point FM. I've pondered that question for several years. At least they've moved up the deadline to apply in recent years, so we're not waiting for the results in July

DF, I'm a gambler at heart, so I love the prospect of "winning" a "trophy" tag. I do agree with your thoughts, but I've still got max points for deer, sheep, and goat. I've payed for years, so I'm to far "in" to quit now! smile
