There is now a $5 day fee to park. I'm not sure if this covers the boat launch fee. If it doesn't it will cost you $10 to launch a boat and park your vehicle!

That is not good news. Is the $5 worth it though?

You now have to pay $5 a day to park at any state park.

All State Parks but Fort Worden the city of Port Townsend struck a deal with the state to pay $25,000 a year to the park so it doesn't start the $5fee for parking.

Their thinking is that the Park is important to the tourism dollars from campers and visitors buying things in town.

They paid $2,000 for a down which included January and the rest of the year paid in Febuary.
