Rarely post because I have very limited fishing time or much to contribute but just wanted to relate my experience today with Fetha-Styx.
Bought a 9'6" spinning rod about 2 years ago and just last week broke the tip section while out on my boat threading the line.
No reciept. No warranty registration.
Decided rather then mail it in to see what the repair would cost I'd drop it off during my lunch hour.
The receptionist took it and said after lunch soemone would take a look at it and get back to me.
Before I got back to my office she called to ask if I wanted my new rod sent to me or I wanted to pick it up.
No charge.
I went in fully expecting to pay for repair and was pleasantly surprised to say the least.
Hats off to Fetha-Styx!

I've got 3 FS rods. Love the Homewaters (9'8, 4-8#) and the NW Premier Guide 10'6 is a sick herring rod.

Great rods built by some great folks!

Of course, the fact that Stam won't own one makes them somewhat more desirable as well rofl

The ones Still made in washington (especially home waters) very nice rods... The ones from overseas (that used to be built in WA), and still cost $200, ehh. No were near as nice as when Jim Merceir owned the company.

Glad they took care of you...sounds like the CS has kept up the standard they have always had.

Put a couple in the boat last winter for some float rods ... built on the North Fork Composite blanks, very impressed so far smile

I don't have one of those rods. I am sick though. 36 rods and it's just me, myself and I. Don't tempt me.

Bob, what exactly do you like about the NFC blanked "Homewaters" over the Rouge rods you were running the year before ?

They're nice rods for $385... I bet you I'd break em on a monthly basis, why don't they use the Shaefer/Wiebe reel seat on the drift rods?
