I hit angle lake yesterday and the day before and got into some really good fishing. After fishing for bass and only hooking a few perch we decided to go to my perch hole. We stopped in and anchored in 23ft of water and jigged a worm and small spitshot about 5 feet off bottom. Right away we hooked into some nice rainbows and a few perch. Then i notice my pole tip moving very slowely down about a 1/4 inch so i set the hook. My pole went spastic as i reeled it in and to my surprise it was a nice kokanee. So i dropped down again and hooked another, then another. Noticing the agressiveness we switched to jigs so we could catch and release. With a total of about 30 combined bows, kokes, and perch, we had obviously found a favorite cruzing area for these nice fish. Day 2 was very similar not as many fish but still nice kokes and bows mixed in with lots of perch. Brought maggots this time though and they loved them. Biggest fish was close to 17" smallest was probably 10, biggest was 13 for the kokanee.

I always assumed the kokanee legend was just a bunch of bs but i was proven wrong. In 15 years i had never seen a kokanee on or off shore. Glad i hooked some

It's hot right now if any of you want to take a shot at it..

Here's some pics

Yeah Crabbin', i have. My new avatar is from a recent trip. 16.6lbs and almost 40 inches. Kinda slow though. I also have done a bit of research and found out that Whatcom and Stevens lake up north also have them. Mike Carey fished whatcom a few weeks back so i think one of my next trips will be up to one of those lakes.

BBVD, yeah i've been busy fishing cuz the fishins been good. Me and a buddy of mine hit the lower car body hole on the 1st and he hooked 3 and landed one of them on spoons and another buddy showed up and he got a crome bright winter run. 2 other guys and kid also hooked one in corner hole. The kids was a 12-13lb nate and we had to tell him he had to realease it.

Me the kid and mom hit angle again today strickly for kokanee and limited out in about 3 hours. There were schools everywhere on the depthfinder around the 21-26ft range. Maggots and half a wedring 18" behind a small dodger was the ticket. Lost probably as many as we boated.

F F F is my savior lately! Dude I've been trying for the kokes in deep lake again for the past week or so, and its SUCKED! I've been going from 10-20 feet or so with little to show....

I decided, "hey, what are the odds that they're like those angle lake fish FFF is catching?"... limited last night in about 2 1/2 hours with the floss set at 24 feet. laugh
