Can you all supply me with sea-run cutthroat info on the cowlitz. I want to start fly fishing for them but need to know where and WHEN to go. Are they always trickling into the river or are there certain times only? How big do they get and how do you know the difference between a local and sea-run cutthroat? Thanks for all info.

fish at the trout hatchery in October. they call them harvest trout in the cowlitz and guys catch them on flies at blue creek and hook steelies every once and awhile.

i've always caught them around blue creek, but instead of fishing in the main river, try around the backwater(where all the bobber guys fish) and the channel up above there
