2nd Annual “Resurrection Derby” at Friday Harbor

Fellow CCA members and supporters of the North Sound Auction and Fundraiser, the San Juan Islands Chapter of the Puget Sound Anglers is pleased to announce the Resurrection Derby will take place December 2rd & 3rd at the Port of Friday Harbor, San Juan Island, WA.

Derby planners have scheduled the derby to coincide with the opening week of the winter fishing season in the San Juan Islands. “The winter season in the San Juan’s is a selective fishery. We want to raise the awareness of the benefits of selective fishing, while promoting good sportsmanship and resource stewardship” said one of the derby organizers, Andy Holman. All net proceeds from the derby, which is staffed by club and community volunteers, will go directly towards salmon enhancement projects.

Tickets for the Resurrection Derby at Friday Harbor will go on sale in mid-October. For more information, please go to: www.resurrectionderby.com
