We caught the fish in about 20 ft of water off grout pt.
Small jigs tipped with worm or perch.

Not sure what my wife was doing different other than she was fishing 17.5 ft away from me at the back of the boat. But she got most of them.

She had a great time. Pictured is just the bigger ones. We kept a few more and turned back even more than we kept.

There are some hawgs in there.

Can't wait for the weather to turn so the lake will quiet down. Lots of rude boaters out there.

We have a goal now of 12 inches. That record is going down! Maybe my 4 year old we break it.. Ha Ha.

Catch any trout doing that? I know a lot of people that have caught some fat cutties while perch fishing.

pend orielle river has tons of perch, not nearly as big but you make up in numbers for size. And they eat darn near anything, worms and bullet weights above the swivel work best I've found. If fishing from shore just cast out, let it sink, reel in a few rotations, pause, reel, pause...you can let you line sag when pausing as you will see the fish tugging on the line....let them take the line out till taunt, let them jerk and then set the hook. Also a good way to catch squaw and peamouth if you want to fish for them...dont know why anyone would

Hunter:

Where is Grout Pt.? My friend Sebastes and I fished the lake Tuesday in Juanita Bay and caught lots of perch including five in the 11 inch range. They seem bigger this year than ever before. We will be headed out again as soon as the weather breaks.

We caught them on all the usual things and also caught several on Berkelys imitation earthworms.
