Latest "departure" was dying shrimp with Pro-Cure egg cure and dunking them for salmon.

I went thru my whole bag of cured shrimp on Sunday. Salmon liked them suspended under a float.

I used the hot red color... Partially cured them in the cure and then threw them in a pot and cooked them for 5 minutes... again with Procure in the water.

Came out gaily colored... but I resisted sampling them. Saved them for the salmon.

Wonder how this stuff would do on a woolly bugger???

Over on the at the mouth of the Methow they swear by frozen shrimp that are dyed a pink to purple color.

They do seem to work!

next batch of dyed shrimp really came out a bright red. I used a pro-cure hot red.

Testing begins again on Friday and thru the weekend.
