FERNDALE - The race for Whatcom County Fire District 7 commissioner has been a heated one, with candidates on both sides complaining of damaged or stolen political signs.

Longtime incumbent commissioner Gerald Metzger is being challenged by Bellingham firefighter Kurt Jensen for one of three commissioner positions for the district, which covers the Ferndale area.

Jensen recently posted a video on YouTube of Metzger's truck swerving off the road to knock down one of his signs. Metzger admitted it's his truck in the video but said he's never knocked down one of Jensen's signs. He said his neighbors and family members often drive his truck, though he doesn't know who did it. Jensen said he took the video because the sign in that location had been stolen, destroyed or thrown in the ditch about 16 times.

Metzger has also had signs stolen. He said Ferndale Police found three of his signs that had been stolen in late September, and he's had other signs go missing since then.

Hey, if corporations can be people, then signs aren't too far away.

The SCOTUS would undoubtedly rule that the signs are only people when they are for a Republican candidate... by a 5 to 4 margin of course.

Be prepared to see a flood of new signs!

The driver made a rolling stop which will get you ticket in Bremerton if the camera catches you.

Of course the obvious eludes some folks....the ruling by SCOTUS would be grounded in facts alone.

From the title of this thread, I thought this clown was being accused of sniffing up 12 year old girls. That's all most 14 year olds I ever knew were interested in.
