At the risk of adding more to the Horde that will be there, here's the link to the WDFW news release. Pine Lake Opener!

I plan on taking my ten year old for the morning (yup, I can pull him away from Little League for a half day!). We will be out in my two person pontoon (red). Be sure to say "hi" if you pass by us (along with the 500 other boaters laugh )

OK, I'll reply to myself laugh "How was the fishing, Mike?". "Excellent! My son and I caught fish non-stop from 6 to 9:30am. The lake was closed to gas motors this year and the boat ramp no longer allows trailered boats so the lake wasn't very crowded compared to previous openings. The fish averaged 8-14". I like the changes!" "Thanks, Mike". "You're welcome." laugh

Glad you had a great trip. Do they put Triploids in the lake. Never fished Pine Lake, is it in the Sammish Plateau area?

Thanks Mike! I was wondering how the opener was going to be. Glad you and your son caught so many and had a good time.
I was getting tired of the crowded bank access at Beaver Lake.

I didn't see any trips caught but I did see one boat that came in with four NICE browns - talking chunky 16-18" fish. Beautiful. Caught on dick nites they claim.

Getting rid of the boat launch for trailered boats will be a good thing for this lake. I did feel bad for the few guys that weren't aware of the reg change and came early with their big boats. I also saw a lot more tubers than I ever have.

My boy had a great time - right up to but not including the end of the morning when his dad started pulling the pontoon up on to shore. James, unfortunately, chose that moment to stand up. The pontoon suddenly became much lighter and I heard a "splash!". Opps, poor James. No smiling pictures of him holding a stringer of fish this trip. He was not a happy camper. I think he wanted to do this to me with the fish: slap
