Sent someone into an area we've been hunting all year, and what happens? Yup, being Friday, the one day a week I do something nice for people, he gets the big daddio of the forest. (there are better photos out there of this animal, and I'm sure they'll surface soon.) Honestly, I am so happy for him to have taken this animal.







So we proceed to break the animal down into more servicable parts and I need to run an errand. Pulling back into the driveway I see eyeballs in Cedar's kennel.



Karma is quick some times, in a good way. Suddenly I was feeling like part of the team again. Subsonic .22LR rounds are the bomb.

Hopefully the boys can continue the streak tomorrow on filling their tags.

Good day today for killing blacktails. I got pictures from a buddy of mine who got a basket 5X3 plus eyeguards. All long points, cool looking buck.

Only a few more days until I can get into the woods! stoked.

We saw a bigger one in McCleary, back of a truck. 5x5, dinged up points, 5" dagger like eye guards. They also had a forkie. Two bigger guys.

That part was a bit of an adventure also. .. . .I'm on the phone wrapping meat in the shop and Andy comes busting in the door, drops his keys and the floor and starts grabbing guns. . . .lucky for me he ran back out the door and didn't seem to want to shoot me. . .. I was slightly hesitant to stick my head out the door after he ran out with the shotgun putting shells in it. . .. . Fun stuff. ..
