That might work. Drop the corporate rate and reform the tax code that allows the types of deductions that keep their rates lower than you like. Allow corps to bring the overseas money back here without excessive penalties.

That's 80,000 more jobs than the republicans House can claim since they still haven't come up with a sincere jobs bill.

Most Americans think any reduction to the unemployment rate is a good thing, especially given the gop's efforts to destroy the economy simply to spite the POTUS.

Being that none of the POTUS jobs bill has been passed, it's 80,000 jobs that have been created in the private sector and not paid for with tax dollars or can be attributed to Obamanomics.

Furthermore, in October, the number of workers marginally attached to the labor force or discouraged from joining it rose from 2.51 million in September to 2.56 million in October. These people are not included in the unemployment rate calculation -- though they were included prior to 1994. If one adds those workers to the overall labor force and recalculates, the actual unemployment rate is 10.5%, not 9.0%.

Further, the U-6 (which includes total unemployed, plus persons marginally attached to the labor force, plus total part-time for economic reasons and the discouraged workers) came in at 16.2%. This statistic should be considered the true indicator of the health of the job market.

There would probably be a lot more demand for products if people had more of their own money instead of bailing out multi corps and banks.

Thats probably to simple a plan though.

TARP saved the country from a depression. Corps can be handled with tax reform. Bailing out the states won't put more money into the hands of consumers or it would have worked the first time it was tried.

What about the Banks, like signing on to guarantee 53 Trillion of potential bad debt with BOA?
