I don't know how much that tells a guy, but here goes. Threw some line w/ the new Sage One yesterday, loaded a super6 with my SA 250 grain Streamer Express line. Super6 is my lingo for the saltwater verison of the 9' 6" in 6 weight or Sage ONE 697-4.

Frist impessions.....

This thing is LIGHT.

Next up, this stick is FAST with excellent feedback, even with my casting stroke I picked up 10-20' of distance in nothing flat. Had the same model in a Z-Axis for side by side comparison, & the Z is a fine rod.

This rod is just IMO better, seems to project your line right where you want it in an effortless fashion. A better caster than me stepped up next & threw my whole line & into the backing w/o mussing his hair. Went right past my mark another 10' then up & over a parked pickup truck & onto the sidewalk.

Love to get this on the beach.

Dude. You missed a great opportunity to extend the ONE thread smile

Sounds like a nice line chucker. Thanks for the review.

I holding out for the new line of Sage One Spey rods because I want both my arms to be ONE with the rod.

Om.

Ommmmm.

One . . . . . . . .

but wait a second, good casters used to throw the whole damn fly line with an 8 1/2' fiberglass rod 40 years ago. All this time and technology and an $800 price increase and we're up to the whole fly line and 10 feet?

The other One thread was too long to load Coley. Had to start over.

The Sage VXP 697-4 is more in my wheelhouse pricewise, so it gets a hard look.

I'm going back to the parking lot & if its close to the springboard that other/one is, well....

its trigger time.

The only thing that Bad Santa's got going for him is anonymity..along with childish simplicity.

How about you chime in with your actual persona?

( I already know who your sad and worthless person is...may as well share your sad and worthless self with the rest of the world)

P.S. I'll give you a day or two to share your wonderful self with the rest of the board...after that, I'll just share it with them myself.
