The perennial, persistent problem with these polls is that they mean nothing, most of the time. For as long as I can remember, Congress has always had a crappy approval rating. Doesn't matter who is president, or which party controls Congress. They are our favorite people to hate. And we all hate every one else's member of Congress, but we all re-elect our own. Sad, but true.

Newt is just the next in the list to fly high before the crash and burn. People do not remember that POS for what he is or what he has done. They just see him pretending to be positive and giving the appearance of the elder statesman. His time is done and his numbers will crach with adds like Pauls that point out who he truely is and not this guy he pretends to be.

Mitt will get the nomination but damn he has taken some money. Who does he owe? Just seems a little disheartening to decide between the boughten Dem and the boughten Rep.

The R's should nominate Romney, he's got somewhat of a shot...if Newt get the nomination have no fear...the world will once again see what a total fuckin tool he was back in the day, and what a tool he has been his whole life...he can lie his ass off at a Republican debate, since looking half ass toolish there is a good thing, but in a national election he will get his doughboy ass handed to him so badly it will hurt just to watch.

Saw on some story the other day that someone said he looks like "mashed potatos stuffed in a suit"...I agree, but think that it's unfair to mashed potatos since they actually have more conviction and substance than Newt.

He sure looks like mashed potatos stuffed in a suit, though smile

One follow up question I wish they'd ask on polls such as this is: "Do you feel that your congress-person should be replaced."

I'd wager most would say no; it's always the other guy's fault.

I like it how the Right Wing Whack Jobs have all come to the conclusion that when they do something totally retarded...which is often...that the proper place to place blame is with the media...and I think it's hilarious that their sycophants, as usual, pick up the baton and run with it for them.

Newt will be sunk by the "msm"...mainly because they'll drum up all the stupid schit he's done pretty much his entire life.

Lemme guess...it's the media's fault (except for FauxNews, of course) that he's fukked around on all his wives, leaves them for the woman he's fukking on the side, marries that one, then does it to her after a few years, too.

It's the media's fault that he left his wife for his mistress while she was laid up with cancer, and served her with divorce papers literally in her hospital bed.

It's the media's fault that he is a serial liar.

It's the media's fault that he took millions of dollars from Fannie Mae as a "historian"...'cuz that's what they would spend millions on.

Newt is a fuckin disaster for the RNC if he gets the nomination...he will get taken apart, and it won't be the media's fault, it will be his own fault because he is a convictionless, lying, flip flopping, self-serving pile of crap...

...but at least he'll have a whole bunch of jackwagons like you blaming his failure to even be a decent person on the media...it's all he's got, and it only takes a handful of idiots to make him think he can pull off lying to the world.

Again.

Fish on...

Todd

P.S. The DNC is licking their chops at the idea of a lying sack like Newt being the nominee.

I'm sure that's what you were saying when you were excorciating Kenneth Starr and The Newsters when they wasted years and millions trying to find out if Clinton got a bj or not...right?

Newt does have a lot of baggage, it would sure be fun to watch him pick apart Obummer in a few debates. moose I still think Romney will get the nomination.

If you have seen both Newt and Barrack speak, then it's clear who the better speaker is.

Newt's a liar with a ton of baggage, a bad attitude, and a bad temper...Obama will make him look like a fool in a debate.

Would you hold your breath while you're waiting for him to say that? That would be fun to watch.

"At this point in his presidency, do you think Barack Obama is more interested in working with Republicans in Congress to get things done, or campaigning against Republicans in Congress to win reelection?"

”President Obama has not met with Republican leaders in Congress for 145 days, choosing instead to visit 20 states for 34 policy addresses and 34 campaign speeches.” (Richard Wolf, “Observers: Obama has been keeping far afield of Congress,” USA Today, (12/16/11)

*worth noting: 10% of the Democrats don't know WTF Obama's doimg... grin
