since the rainbows at the potholes seem to have dried up the last couple years I'm looking for some new fishing grounds. I've read alot lately about how good rufus woods is so I'm looking for a little help. Have 16ft aluninum prop boat, any help on best place to launch and camp would be appreciated thanks.

Are you looking to "dry camp" or more like a state park? I used to fish over there every April great fishing. My parents own a RV park in Electric City, and my grandmother lives in Elmer City, so we never really camped.

If you are still fishing the word is SLOW. They are doing ok up around the Pens trolling, but not sure what they are trolling with. Guys trolling down near the boom near the dam are picking up a few here and there but not HOT at all. Though it is always fun to try, you never know when the big one is gonna hit

well I just got a call to go back to work and or first job of the season is in omak. should be thier about a month so I'll do some looking and fishing from the bank and then bring the boat later.That site did work pt, thanks. I usally try to stay at state park or something like that, hopefully where I can leave the boat in the water and feel safe about it. Sounds like a hard lake to gear up for, could catch a 1lb trout to a 20lb triploid think Ill bring my steelhead set up?

Dont over look the Walleye. When you get bored with the trout, you can bottom walk a worm, or some jigs and easily get into some walleye.
