Has anyone ever fished the slough from the kenmore launch up, in a boat. i have seen people doing it but not sure how they did. also, is it just a flyfishery or can you fish spinners and stuff? thanks in advance.

I used to fish it in downtown Redmond, and from the soccer field down to the Woodinville train trestle.

My favorite spot was by the winery just because of the bank access.

If the regs are the same as recent years the Sammanish is a C&R water. It used to be decent steelheading before Hershel the sea lion at the returnees at the locks. A lot of salmon pass through to the Issaquah hatchery in the Fall and I used to catch some nice cutthroat, but haven't fished it in years.

Fished is some last year as it is real close to the house, selective fishery no bait, barbs or scent. Flys work wellgot a few trout, and a smallmouth they are still there. tight lines. Glenn

You might want to check the regs,I used to fish it for coho, but they changed the regs and put a stop to salmon fishing there. I have not even checked the regs in years so I may be wrong,NOW.

Fished this years ago and there used to be some huge catfish in there. 20-30 lbs. I haven't looked at the regs or fished there for 20 years. Used to be some awesome fishing at times. Guess if you can't bait fish the cats are getting big now. We used to catch buckets of crawdads too, so wonder if they still cruise the bottoms?
