I want to take my 2 boys trout fishing in the morning and was wondering if it was unbearable at Pine lake? I guess I was kinda wondering if the fishing was good today also?
It's going to be stressful enough with 2 youngsters to keep interested.
Thanks

Opening Day is always crowded at Pine lake. The fishing pier has been full every year we've gone (we fish from a boat). I didn't get to go this year, but I'm sure it was no different. But go anyway, the park is re-done and it's a great place to take kids.

Well it took all of about 1 hour to get all 3 of our limits. Pretty crazy on the dock. Thank God there was a good ol boy there that lent a helping hand with one of my boys. They had a good time and that's what matters.

fished pine today first time inover six years. was like they only planted twelve inchs and better and i quit counting after releasing twenty . Did take three home and fed two to the eagles. they liked every fly I tied on. I was over roded with my three weight. But I had a s***t eating grin and howled for two hours. This retired thing is fantastic you should try it. the only down side was my little rubber raft got unconfortable way to soon. I f I had taken the canoe I woul of stayed till they closed the park.

should be no problem on a boat. Remember, hand carried boats only now.

Fish Hunter, there were no crowds but it was during the week. They say that there are some big browns deep in this lake but I did not target them as I didn't have my faster sink rate lines with me. did not need any scent at all they were hungery . tight lines Glenn

Yea, I love lakes that have turned to cartopper only/inflatable and the likes...It's perfect for my 9 foot inflatable and motor...Its so nice not to be tossed around in the wakes of 20 foot boats and all...I plan on going to Pine this weekend, and last year I fished the same weekend and got about 40 of the planters with no need to tip my flatfish with worms or scent...but I have caught a big brown before it was a nice fish about 20 inches
