I fished with my dad a bit when I was a kid, but haven't been too much since. Now I have a 10 yr old daughter and 5 yr old son that got interested when we borrowed a friends equipment and caught some perch, sunfish, etc on vacation last year. Course I got "hooked" again too and want to take them out this year. Any recommendations on the East side (specifically Spokane area) on where to go, or how to make it fun for them? We don't have a boat, so it'd be shore/dock fishing.
Any help would be much appreciated....thanks in advance!

i am not from the east side but when i went over there i caught quite a few perch, pumpkinseeds, and a couple crappie off the dock at lake eloika. a small jig or piece of worm works good. there is also some good bass in there if you can get through the weeds.... have fun

IM FROM SPOKANE AND HAVE TRIED MY LUCK AT PRETTY MUCH EVERY LAKE IN THE AREA.IF YOU GET OUT SOON YOU COULD DO GOOD FROM THE DOCK AT 1. WEST MEDICAL, WITH RAINBOW POWERBAIT/NIGHTCRAWLER 2.WILLIAMS LAKE NEAR CHENEY WITH GARLIC MALLOWS OR POWERBAIT. 3.LIBERTY FROM THE BOAT LAUNCH, YOU COULD CATCH RAINBOWS/BROWNS/SPINY RAYS IF U CAST IT WAY OUT. I RECOMMEND GETTING A WASHINGTON ATLAS BOOKLET FROM SPORTSMANS WAREHOUSE IF UR GONNA GET SERIOUS NE TIME SOON.VIRTUALLY EVERY LAKE YOU SEE ON THE MAP CAN PRODUCE.
