Did that fumble bring back memories of Roger Craigs fumble. It did and it was one of the first things I thought of. When Roger fumbled though, the Niners were heading down field on their way to their 3rd straight SB. That could have been a dynasty like the Bills...except winners. I fell off the wagon after that play...

I'm surprised you don't see more backs that can catch the ball out of the back field. Marshall Faulk was probably the best. Rathman comes to mind when thinking about fullbacks that caught the ball. These days I'd have to go with Rice.

I'm thinkin' Roman might leave his OC job for a head coaching position...pro or college. The QB coach, Geep Chryst will probably take his place. He's the one who called that pass to Vernon to beat the Taints.
Most of the core Niners are signed except Alex and Rogers. They'll keep both one way or the other. Goldson should stay too.
You might have to wait for a QB unless you want to give up the farm for Flynn. Not a wise choice IMHO. You'll probably go after some pass rushing stud and hope T-Joke can pick it up with an extended camp and a year under his belt.

I think the best Fullback was John L Williams, guy had great hands, I was pissed the Hawks didn't resign him, he went on to Pitts and had several good years.
