Since our whole theory of government rests on the consent of the governed, and any meaningful consent would require the ability to withhold consent, you could, you know, withhold consent, if you disapprove of both candidates. But things will probably get better if everyone continues to vote for an unacceptable POS whose only saving grace is that he is slightly less unacceptable than another POS.

If you don't exercise your right to withhold consent, then it is too easy for special interests to present two candidates beholden to them running against each other and give you a meaningless choice.
