Rick Santorum will pick up the endorsement today of former Ohio senator Mike DeWine, who most recently was supporting Mitt Romney.

DeWine, currently Ohio's attorney general, is set to appear today with his ex-colleague Santorum at the statehouse in Columbus. The Ohio primary is the biggest prize in the Super Tuesday contests on March 6.

The two men came to the Senate together in 1995. The were both defeated for re-election in 2006..

Santorum is DeWine's third choice in the GOP presidential race. DeWine's first pick, former Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty, dropped out last August after a poor showing in the Iowa straw poll. Then DeWine announced his support of Romney in an October Facebook post.

Romney has the support of Ohio's junior senator, Rob Portman.

..............

They do, at least, have one very important thing in common...they both served terms in Congress, and then got their asses handed to 'em in the re-election bids.

They couldn't even win the district they live in rofl

Fish on...
