The Skykomish that is...she's only been closed for a short time so far and I can't stop thinking of all the holes I'd love to be fishing along her banks. Since I'm so new I never got to fish the C&R season on the sky. Anyone care to post some pics of the skykomish glory days?

I know how you feel, it would be nice to be able to just run up the road and fish some local water in feb still, its too bad there just arnt as many as there used to be, i can remember some of those thick healthy native winter fish pictures from the sky. I too would like to see a few pics...

Man they dont get any brighter than that 1st one translucent fins and what looks like sea lice. If its belly wasnt so thick i would say it looks like an early summer fish.

Welcome to the annual Puget Sound winter doldrums. That feeling is just going to get more frequent.....

Just a few years ago I would still have 6 excellent rivers to fish right now in my area. Now I have zero.

Wow RognSue. What a gorgeous fish. Ditto SS.

Danny, how about that chrome magnum that you have a picture of. I promise not to make fun of your haircut (fingers crossed) smile

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Some nice looking fish in this thread. The Sky is my main river also. Since I have lived in this area there has been no C&R season either.

damn! Nice pics John! The seventh fish down is an absolute masher! I hope to one day be able to fish a C&R season on the sky. I'm trying to stay optimistic...

It wasn't long ago even when the river was open only through the end of February that you could go out there and hammer a couple each trip...anytime after super bowl sunday was good...there are some beasts in the that system for sure...and it is so close and a relatively easy fishery...it's a damn shame and wish it were still open...hopefully they are spawning like crazy...the last couple of summers (right after June 1st)...we've been hitting a lot of winter fish spawners which has always been the case...but it seems in the last two years we've hit more of them then normal...hopefully that is a good sign...here are a couple of those!!

I'll be floating her on the opener. Maybe we'll run into a wild fish or two.
