Did it finally happen?! While Brad has caught many steelhead in his multiple decades of fishing, for some reason the 20 pound barrier has alluded him for one reason or another. Word on the river now is Brad (Chrome 22) had quite the day out on the coast landing his first biggie! This is a request for the picture and story. Come on guys, lets see it! Opie? thumbs

team effort for sure, just one of those fish that made my season, went crazy from the time he felt the sting of the hook and tried his best to avoid the net several times with a memorable ring around the rosey landing. Just one of those days that makes your appreciate the time on the water and just happen to get the cherry on top! definately one of my all time favorite fish.
I can give the measurements, (37.25"x20.5") but sam has the pics
You may be BigFishDanny, but brad and sam are team big fish!

No one in their right mind would request such things. Good spot!

Sorry, no pics of Stam.

But, as requested......

Ignore the goon on the left.

The measurements were plugged into the PP fish weight calculator, and just squeezed in at 20 pounds and a few ounces. We didn't think it was quite 20, but, knew it was in the high teens. I held the fish, and thought maybe 20???? nah,... but close.

It was a nice day to be on the water yesterday. Thanks Justin and Brad for the good time.

ps - I put a higher quality image on line. Enjoy

Man, I make that fish look small.......... eek2 Salad bar time ??

Trust me it was a bruiser, looked like a nice 12-13 lb. fish when it was holding just @ the edge of the green water. I was transfixed looking at the sun going thru those salt-fresh translucent fins when OP did the scoop.

Then he stepped off & said LOOK AT THAT! I was was well & truly shocked @ the size of the beast.

Its one thing to talk big fish & an entirely different one to have a living breathing specimen like that @ your feet. Thanks OP & Sam for one hellofa day.

If God only gives me that one perfect moment frozen in time, I'll die a happy man.
