New material for me, rubber legs for a collar but I think they turned out okay. The color combination has been awesome for the last 2 years so figured a larger profile might help at time.

Back when I used to fish jigs more often, I had really good luck with OTE's Lite Brite Wigglers. Similar look though they aren't quite as leggy as yours.

smaller size would definitly be better for large profile jigs like that. you can really get nuts on jigs when you scale them down to a smaller jig.

either way they look money. are the rubber legs stiff? seems to me you'd want more of a "marabou" flluttering than hte legs just sticking out...

The legs are really soft and move everywhere. It is round rubber for making skirts and such. Is as limp and soft as cord out of bungee cords.

The size is for fall Chinook, saw some jigs that were huge and out fished my little ones hand down.

I am gonna try tying some egg type patterns with it sooner or later.

More fun with tying.

The Dan S. signature series, Purple Passion smile You ever catch a fish on one of those Dan?

Some micro jigs aka Skittles

To make jigs, ya gotta have jig heads, batch o RVRSTCKR's on the drying rack.

Skrunk Jig? Nevermind that it swims upside down.

Great minds and all that. Your small Skittles is almost exactly what I tie for the Situk. It works quite well.

Damn Coley! I actually envy the fact that you're probably snowed in right now. it's always so hard to find time for tying and prepping gear these days for me. I'm usually up way too late the night before I leave, tying jigs and leaders and respooling reels. A guy could probably prepare tackle for an entire year during the winter up there eh? any luck with that skrunk jig? Looks real fishy!

The Situk and a couple of other AK streams inspired the skittles Dave. A bead with a small bit of yarn has been the rig of choice for many pinners up here for a while. I took it s step farther and tried to make a jig with some of the same concepts, similar in size. Have yet to really give them much in the way of soak time and so far my product testers are letting me down frown

Yes Drew, no shortage of snowy time to get things dialed in for the summer. Once summer starts it is hard to carve out time for rigging a midst the frenzy of fishing and other activities. I like to hit the ground running and not run out of "stuff" till the next winter. Still have a ways to go for silver season (late summer), but spring, early summer, and fall are all prepped.

That looks sick. Have any info on how to tie one? I looks like a shrimp fly tied on a jig. Ever catch on it?

Haven't put one in the water yet. Haven't fished a jig in a couple of years come to think of it. The recipe belongs to Mr. Twitch. I just took his Skrunk fly and tried to make it on a jig head. I am sure it could be done much better than the one pictured.

Those aren't fun, those are flat out work! Not that I haven't spent more time tying stuff like that, just don't like losing too many of them when I do use them.

As for instruction, all I can find is a list of materials. Never tried to put a video or slide show on tying anything complicated, too much like work again.

Those were enough work. Still gonna tie some up for summer run but not a tie I do a lot because of the time involved. Gonna try tying in some hackle in between as many ribs as I can for a fuller belly look. Gonna be a real pain to do it but the final product could be really nice.

I do like that one though. Alvin for the taking for any hungry steelhead.

Those will be my next project. Orange/pink and blank/purple combos maybe with a little dark and bright mixed in each one. Trout seem to like them in the colors shown so maybe a steelhead will in other colors. Have 6 colors to work with so lots of color combinations to be made.

Those last ones are deadly, I fish something similar but black/brown for summers. Crawdad imitation, mine aren't as pretty though. Thanks for the inspiration.
