RENTON, Wash. (AP) - The Seahawks have signed veteran wide receiver Braylon Edwards, adding another experienced pass catcher to the training camp competition for the No. 2 receiver spot.

Edwards signed his deal with the Seahawks on Tuesday morning and he was expected to be on the practice field later in the day.

The 29-year-old Edwards played in nine games last season for San Francisco. He caught 15 passes for 181 yards and no touchdowns during an injury-plagued year that saw him get released by the 49ers in December. Two seasons ago with the New York Jets, Edwards had 53 catches for 904 yards and seven touchdowns.

Edwards also had a tryout last week for Miami. The Seahawks are seeking a receiver to start opposite Sidney Rice after releasing Mike Williams earlier in July.

Sounds like a desperation move to me. I'd say Petey is in panic mode because Rice isn't back to where he should be after his shoulder surgeries.

That and he needs Braylon to give him some insight on the Niner playbook.

Flynn wins

Today that is



Today was a solid day by Flynn, he is so accurate and throws open his WR's on every play. He was hands down the best QB on the field today. Jackson had a bad day, and i mean bad. I think the DB's got their hands on more balls than the WR's did and he still waits till the WR is looking for the ball before he throws it. Wilson is talented and looks special out there but you can tell he is not as polished as even Jackson. Altho he is more accurate and has just as strong a arm. Also he doesn't wait for the WR to turn around to get the ball out.




All in all it was a great day by Flynn, he looked special today. But like Lockett said the other day, you are not as good as your best day and you are not as bad as your worst. Today was a special day for Flynn and if Camp continues like it did today, Flynn has no competition for the starting job.




On a Side note Baldwin and Fynn seem to have a 6th sense when working together. It was great to see, something like that we have not seen since Krieg to Largent.

Kellen Winslow says our secondary is the best he's seen!

Best in the NFL, maybe the best he has ever played against. Wow, rining endorsement. (this was about 6:15 in).

Also loved the fact that he said he will not let Seattle down, and will not let the team down.

Plus, a "hell ya" on whether this looks like a play-off team. (about 6:00 in)

You must mean yesterday. He was there today and just had a press conference.
They said he wouldn't be there yesterday since he was in California packing and coming up last night.

Yeah T.O. was there today and it was known all along that today would be his first day of practice. I mean he does have a bad history but lets not let the facts get in the way of your opinion of him here in Seattle.
