Springer season approaches and I find myself out of eggs. I know there was a company that sells flash frozen skiens and they expedite. anybody know what that company is?

Thanks,

Drew

When I run out of eggs, I just buy the 2 pound container of cured Amermans and have them shipped to my door. They have both steelie and salmon cured. Easy peasy and they are the best cured eggs on the market.

Don't remember the name of the company that sells bulk uncured though...sorry.

Do NOT buy eggs that have been frozen before being cured. The membranes get cracked when they are frozen before being cured, which makes them unable to retain their juices after the curing process. The end result is a gooey mess that only holds up for a cast or two before you are left with a hunk of skein.

While they will catch fish, flash frozen eggs aren't worth the money IMHO.

I got a butt ton of flash frozen eggs from a guy. They were a pain. To try to firm up. I haven't fished any but will let you know how I do. There are a few company's, but all are in Oregon. Sunrise and xtreme northwest or something like that. You're looking at 5 to 8 bucks a lb from them. I will give you a qt of the crap I have. They will probably milk super fast because of the punctured membrane so don't hold the piss poor quality against me smile

Freezing eggs is a big no no, if you were in my area id sell you some cured eggs that are way better than amermans

I would not buy from sunrise, been frozen and are crap. been down that road before.

Ammerman's cured will be your best bet although expensive...

I don't know where ballard is but would be happy to give you a couple of quarts of my eggs. I'm in Forest Grove Orygun.... I have a pretty "hot" cure I like to use for springers (by hot I mean a lot of sulfite). a famous Willamette back bouncer taught me this cure.

It's 2:45 right now. Ya', I'm sure my dad is sitting in the kitchen right now and would be happy to store them for me for a couple days.

Amerman's is pretty good for store-bought.

This guy is getting his products in stores.
Don't know how the quality is though.....I would check it out in a local store, first.
