I've been looking to order one of the 10 packs. Our first child is coming in a few weeks, though, so I'm trying to cut down on ordering too much fishing tackle in bulk these days.
What's the most versatile size/finish if I'm only going to order one 10 pack? Primarily fish mid-size rivers for steelhead and coho.
1/2 oz and silver?

Yes. In reality, you'll tend to find that it pays in the long run to have a light, medium, and heavy spoon so you can cover most in-river situations. I'd rather have 3 of each size than 1 10-pack. But, if you could only get one 10-pack, that'd be it.

I used 3/4 a lot more than I was told to when I started swinging spoons and I get them pretty good. The 2/5 works in some classic steelhead runs but is hard to pick pockets like the 3/4 can.

1/2oz 50/50
if you know how to change line angles you can drive them deeper or keep them from sticking to the bottom.
a lot of slower stuff where you absolutely had to use lighter weight i personally would rather just float fish. +100

Yep, thanks guys. I've used the 2/5 and 1/2 in various finishes, but wanted to do a bulk order.
The 1/2 seems more versatile to me.

1/2 oz is as light as I would go. I bet i've caught more fish on copper than silver an 50/50 combined. I love copper..... It just has that right look under most conditions. Neal +1

I like the 2/5 in silver. I would say about half of mine I black out on side with a sharpie. rvrfshr spoons are the shizzzz. They work very well. You ever try other colors of sharpie on them, or striped or dotted type patterns?

You should ask THE TODD?
WHAT WOULD THE TODD DO?
I personally like the brass and the silvers, that way you have a choice between two colors, one that has big bling, and that matte silver is a little soft and suttle

You ever try other colors of sharpie on them, or striped or dotted type patterns? I have used red vinyl paint as well. I have never really done any patterns or anything on them. The main idea of painting/blacking out one side is just to get more contrast out of the lure. I prefer to just use the sharpie an use black. If you try any other colors I don't think they would be very bold unless you used paint. I have had times when I fished an all silver spoon for awhile and got no hits but then switched to a silver/black and got aggressive strikes. This is just how I like to do them. Just a preference.

The 50/50's certainly sell the best...and though it won't matter a lot of the time, sometimes a little contrast is a good thing. For the most contrast I've Sharpie'd up the inside of copper or silver spoons, just with a black pen...don't know how much it helps, but I'm sure it doesn't hurt.
I'm also thinking about coming out with a copper/silver 50/50, something a little less flashy as the gold/silver, but still with the good contrast...what do you guys think of that idea?

I want some logo wear before a new 50/50. Maybe a Shirt or even a patch.
