I would rather pose with a chrome one but I would rather eat one 500 miles from the ocean than a lower river or Willamette springer. Anyone who has not tasted the differance would never understand.

Wow! Really? I've eaten fresh springer from different fisheries on the Columbia and it was all delicious. I don't think there's any such thing as a table-quality springer that doesn't kick [Bleeeeep!] in the flavor dept.

Guess I will try to ignore the flaming for awhile. I said it was wild because that's what we call the unclipped fish here in Idaho, either "wild" or "native." I am pretty sure this is not the case, because I know for a fact, after talking to a F&G biologist on the Lochsa, that a lot of the hatchery Salmon are not clipped on purpose.

And seriously? Long arm? About as short arm as I can get, idiot.
Just had a simple question about the size, which I thought would be enjoyable...but no. Never posting on here again. I knew I shouldn't have tried to join your "club." What a bunch of pretentious jerks.

Welcome the the forums!! be careful because if you bad mouth the "elite club members" too much you will be asked to leave. Remember the elite club members are the only ones allowed to take natives out of the water because they have special training.

I would say that fish is around 18lbs. Nice fish especially for Idaho.
