When float fishing eggs from the bank, can a guy legally use a two hook leader rig ala side drifting from boat...or does it have to be a one hook leader only?

I can't find it in the regs - if anyone knows of the page number where it is found, please let me know. Thanks in advance,

Cowlitz below Barrier for springers. I don't own a boat, but primarily fish from one when my buddies are going out. However - I would like to fish this area more and will have to fish from the bank when going solo. Hope that helps - thanks,

Now: 2 hooks OK

After April 1st: No

Anti-Snagging Rule Except when fishing with
a buoyant lure (with no weights added to the
line or lure), or trolling from a vessel or floating
device, terminal fishing gear is restricted to a
lure or bait with one single-point hook. Hooks
must measure ¾" or less from point to shank,
and must be attached to or below the lure or
bait. Weights may not be attached below or less
than 12" above the lure or bait. When anti-snagging rule is in effect,
only fish hooked inside the mouth may be retained.

Just place a bobber (corkie or cheater) in between the hooks and you should be golden.

Or...just use one hook.

Two hooks is a good way to lose more than twice as many hooks...but not a better way to catch fish wink

Fish on...

Awesome - thanks guys!

Been hitting the Cow every couple of days out of the sled for B runs. It's been w/ mixed results. The weather has been typical march schizo madness. Rain, sun, hail, sun, snow, wind, sun, rain, repeat. I got a nice little 5 - 6 pound nate yesterday which surprised us. Waiting for the springers to start showing in numbers and lower water...c'mon lets go already! smile

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.
