If a war starts in Iran, it might be used to keep all the domestically produced oil here in the USA, since we'll need it.

Considering what we're willing to pay for it compared to the rest of the world, oil companies would have it on the first ship outta town if the price got out of our comfort zone, and we'd be left with none.

That's what I'm guessing, at least.

Fish on...

Todd's guessing again? wink

The ubiquitous use of *any,* *all,* *potential* and the like while referencing the war & national defense powers under Title 50 USC Appendix does give one pause....

Section 102, 103(b) & 201(b) includes the application of this EO in times of peace.

Section 103(a) is broad in what constitutes an emergency (EU / USD collapse?)

Section 103(c) uses the word 'potential' relative threats to the security of the US.

Section 3 seems to remove gov't financial matters from Congress and give them to the president with assignment/delegation to the various agency heads (Section 801(h)).

Section 502 authorized government employment of consultants without compensation.

Section 602(a)2 authorized induction/deferment into the armed forces.

Section 801 contains the definitions to which the terms of *any/all* are applied therein.

Seems that DHS is adding firepower to this equation as well by ordering up 450 million rounds of .40 S/W and also soliciting 175 million rounds of .223 fodder on fbo.gov Listing. Kinda makes one wonder what they're expecting with that much inventory....
