I wouldn't argue that point 2Many, but it seems selective gear rules would help control the damage.?

Quite the can of worms right there, let the fun begin!

i agree with this thought proccess.

it's the same as the guys who claim how much they love their dogs. then go home on the weekends and beat the sh!t out their dogs. then say during the following week that their dogs are none the worse for wear.

there's quite clan here that think this way.

Have you overdosed on dumb pills, Brewer..? Who do you know that beats their dog then says something like that, if you're standing back and watching it or even know about it.. and not doing anything to stop it then you're as guilty as them.

Aaaaaaaand, where did anyone ever say it was good for the fish....ever? Even a fool like you should know that a fish is better off for not having that experience, the closest anyone could come would be to say that without people at least CnR fishing for them then they become the forgotten one's and who would be left to care? You think our queen christine or the injuns are going to stick up for wild steelhead? If killing one out of 100 or even 2 keeps people involved enough to keep guys like you from killing every one they catch, then we've saved 98 steelhead from the bbq...

You meatheads only care if you get one to eat, if you can't have that than they might as well go extinct.

Now go and beat your dog.

Ouch!
You youngins need to play nice, everyone wants fish to hook, play and release, yes, some like to bonk, but the majority will release these days.

The only true answer is to close it down and really slam the door on poaching. Make sure the commericals, indians and sporties stay away for a few years and let's see if the run improves, THEN open to C&R only.
C&R works quite well if there is no option and it is enforced with heavy pentelties for bonking a Nat.

Of course, the Indians will continue to net and blame whitie for it somehow.

I like to play with dog and with steelhead.
I do not eat either one.

I'm hoping word gets out that I don't eat them, so that maybe more will come around to play.
That's the plan, anyway.
