I am going to give the officer the benefit of the doubt DD. A lot of robbers imply a gun and don't brandish a weapon.

He had a 5-6" knife in his left hand, after the cop shot him, he kicks the knife out of the way.

Fixed.

There was something odd about that encounter. I did see the knife but it seems like a trained officer would have given the thief a millisecond longer to drop it and submit.

Also the "cop" appears edgy at the front end and then seems to recognize thief.
While the thief is dying it looks like the cop is chewing him out.

I think there was some history at work there.

I got the same feeling.
Kinda think the cop felt like he was wiping dog crap off his shoe.

Things happen so fast, especially from 10'. Someone can be on you fast. Did anyone notice the Cop spitting on the perp several times after shooting him?

What is with the guy in green at the counter? He acts like he sees people shot every day and even bumps the cop as he leaves.


He is lucky he wasn't shot as a potential accomplice.


Otherwise, bad day to be a bad guy.

There is never a case where you need to give the bad guy a chance. He took his chance and got his prize.

i've watched several docs on police and the seemingly rampant gangs and criminals in brazil. in that country it's drop the criminal first, then ask the ???s later. the cops drop the bad guys all the time. the atmosphere after this shooting seems very relaxed and common. like it really does happen everyday.

If you guys haven't seen the documentary "Bus 174", you should watch it.

That cop or whatever, was edgy, scared. He fear shot just like some dogs will fear bite. He never took control, he backed off, fumbled, drew, shot.
Not a good training clip.
It was a weird situation. Maybe it's the Wild West down there and you just drill 'em whenever you get the chance.

And hey, I'm all for thief/thug ventilation.
In fact sometimes, I wish you could kill 'em more than once.

You may be right about the "fear shot", but maybe not. He didn't empty the clip like most who fear shoot.

Not arguing.....I noticed he wasn't carrying his weapon in an "I'm gonna drill you again" posture. Looked pretty composed from what I saw.
