Purdy.

I have been thinking of getting/assembling me one. I have also been thinking of a walking around bolt action in .223 or .308.

Nice middie-4 recipe. Should cure zombie infestations....

What do ya think of the DD lower kit/trigger?

Well, the DD LPK is an approximate $20 upcharge from a garden-variety LPK.
Everything fit perfectly and the trigger felt very good, dropping and catching it after the lower was built.
Shooting it the other day, I'll say that it's not gritty, breaks clean but it's not light.
I've got some JP light springs (Yellow) that I may try eventually.

The reports coming back on the Palmetto State Armory USGI triggers are very good. I'd bet that they would compare to the DD.
PSA is probably the best place to buy a LPK in general because of the many combinations and low prices.

For a bench gun /varminter one of a Geissele offerings would be on the want list.

I just bought that same butt stock for my Colt 6940, no play at all like the stock one had. Congrats!

Gei$$ele is on the *want* list, but likely not on the *need* list. Thanks for your perspectives....

Yep, they hurt the piggy bank. SSA = $170 __ SSA-E = $200 and then up from there.

OK, then how about a high-graded and tuned by Geissele, USGI-type trigger for $45 and $65.
Just released ALG triggers....
http://www.algdefense.com/

Apparently Mrs. G has her PDF's mixed up.
Here's a direct link to the $45 number...
http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=3023

So a bare bones PSA LPK (minus FCG) $29.95, plus the $45 ALG trigger would put you at roughly the DD LPK pricing.

RA does mostly mail order...not sure what they have for a showroom.

They do set the Gold Standard for online shops, though.
High quality product line, honest pricing, excellent packing and fast shipping.

I got some of my parts from SAA...

You have to sort through some lower grade stuff at SAA sometimes.

Rainier Arms are good folks, as are SA&A. Nice little bang stick, but it looks scary to me. wink Have fun shooting it!

They make their own magnifiers 3x and 4x I believe.
About $450...the rigs look heavy with everything mounted but they get good reviews.
